Open-Source Templates
Practical documents science-based founders can adapt — Company Facts sheets, Letters of Commitment, Letters of Support, grant proposal templates, pro forma financial models, employee handbooks, and other operating docs. All released under commercially permissive licenses on the Science Founders GitHub.

The Company Facts Template is the single source of truth for the common information founders end up retyping over and over — legal name, EIN, formation state and date, SAM.gov UEI and CAGE code, annual-filing deadlines, login admin emails for SAM.gov / Login.gov / ORCID / eRA Commons / Research.gov / DOE PAMS / Grants.gov, business banking / accounting / tax-preparer contacts, and registered agent details. Use it for state and federal submittals, tax filings, and as a quick-reference handoff when bringing a new co-founder, CPA, or counsel into the loop.
Why open-source?
Most startup documents — handbooks, pro formas, founder agreements, IP assignments — get reinvented every time a new founder needs them. The templates above were already drafted by founders in this community, reviewed by counsel and CPAs, and shipped at real operating companies. Publishing them under permissive licenses means the next founder doesn't pay to redo work that's already been done.
If you adapt a template and have improvements to contribute back, open a pull request on the repo or drop a note in the Slack.
